Reserva Guapiara is a special limited edition by Cachaça Tiê, produced in Aiuruoca, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
As the brand’s first Extra Premium cachaça, it was aged for five years in first-use American oak barrels and released in a limited run of only 580 bottles. Its name pays tribute to Guapiara, the district where Tiê is produced.
We created the packaging project around the relationship between the spirit’s golden color, its rarity, and the history of Minas Gerais. Inspired by gold mining and the region’s Gold Rush heritage, we built a narrative that presents Reserva Guapiara as a kind of liquid jewel, a precious spirit shaped by time.
To bring this concept to life, the illustrations were created as woodcuts by artist Alexandre Alves, depicting different stages in the extraction of a gold nugget. The narrative unfolds across the box and label, connecting the product to Brazilian popular and artisanal traditions as well as to the history of the land where it is produced.
We designed the label and box as parts of a single system, created to complement the distinctive bottle and reinforce the special and exclusive character of the edition. The result connects product, time, and place, turning the packaging into an extension of Reserva Guapiara’s story and presenting each bottle as something rare and precious.
