Eleusis Institute is a non-profit organisation dedicated to expanding knowledge and access to new mental health treatments, with a particular focus on the therapeutic use of psychedelics. Through research, educational materials and dialogue with institutions and decision-makers, particularly in Portugal and the European Parliament, Eleusis works to inform, demystify and bring new therapeutic approaches closer to public policy.
The visual identity emerges from the complexity and lack of clarity that still surround the subject. Distortions applied to the logo, imagery and graphic elements create a kind of visual haze, referencing both the perception of psychedelics and the experience of those facing mental health challenges.
The illustrations explore this same ambiguity. Also inspired by Rorschach tests, they reveal figures, people and landscapes through a kind of double vision, shifting between figurative and abstract and allowing for different interpretations depending on the viewer.
In contrast to this layer of distortion, all information is presented in a clear, objective and structured way. The typographic system and content hierarchy ensure that the message remains easy to understand, establishing the central principle of the identity: acknowledging the complexity of the subject without making its communication complex.
